I recently had Joseph Tame in my studio for some portraits. Despite all of the strobes we had set up, he ended up lighting himself with the gear he brought.

The 3rd Black Light Party, “The Finale”, was June 15th at Crawfish, near Akasaka Mitsuke. It was perhaps more awesome than the last one, which is no easy feat.

I always enjoy working with the TEDxTokyo team and seeing what they pull together. This was a great day full of many amazing presentations and “Ideas Worth Spreading”.

A little while ago I ordered the IR720 Infrared Filter for my Fuji x100. Well, it just arrived yesterday, so I immediately ran to my balcony to test it out. I didn’t have any of the focusing issues I’ve heard about, and the camera auto focus seemed to work pretty well, but I want to keep testing that out a bit.
Conclusion: So far so good. I’ll keep you posted as I know more.
I recently had the chance to shoot the amazing dancer Nanami Chinatsu.
The sakura were blooming around NakaMeguro, Tokyo as we took these photos. At one point the crowd watching us was larger than those enjoying the sakura.
